Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and a Site of Special Scientific Interest, Mylor Harbour offers a holiday with a difference.

Located in the heart of the Carrick Roads (a natural network of creeks and rivers teeming with fish, birds, and sometimes seals and dolphins), the harbour has a thriving maritime atmosphere in keeping with its colourful history.

The smallest naval dockyard in Victorian England and rumoured to have been important to the French Resistance, Mylor is home to the last oyster fishing fleet still working under sail in the world.

Small and friendly, there is something of interest here for everyone - a fishing fleet, traditional boatyard, coast paths, a choice of restaurant, wine bar, or café, boat hire, sailing tuition, ancient churchyard, and any number of places nearby worth investigating by foot, road or water. Gardens, galleries, churches and castles are just a few suggestions to explore.
