Basics are available from the onsite cafe, during the summer. You can stock up for the week at the village stores in Mylor or head up to Long Close Farm Shop for local Cornish meats, fruit and veg. The nearby towns of Falmouth and Penryn have delis, grocers and supermarkets galore.

If you want to sort our your shopping before you arrive, do your shopping online-sites like ploughtoplate.co.uk have a great range of Cornish produce (and we can unpack your order if you don't want to wait for your delivery).

If all this seems a little too strenuous then you need only walk a few steps from your door to dine in style at Castaways Wine Bar or the Seafood Restaurant-both locally acclaimed eateries.

The neighbouring town of Falmouth holds many delicious restaurants and is only a short drive or boat trip away. Further afield, Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Cornwall and Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant, both on the north coast, are well worth a visit.
